This isn’t surprising, as the area is home to some very good schools.
- Point Breeze. Significantly smaller than Squirrel Hills, Point Breeze is home to 10,000 residents. The price range of homes is somewhat similar to Squirrel Hills South. The population is quite diverse, and children make up around 15%. Allderdice High School, one of the best high schools in Pennsylvania is located nearby.
- Friendship. This neighborhood with a lovely name is home to less than 4,000 people. An average home value in the area is slightly above $200,000, while the median rent is $830. The neighborhood is quite safe, and the population is very diverse.
